CONTEST FORMAT

 
  • Students will have 15 problems to solve in 30 minutes.
  • Problems are marked as either "1 pt" or "2 pts".
  • While a "1 pt" problem is worth 1 point, a "2 pts" problem is worth 2 points.
  • All answers are integers between 0 and 9.
  • Students will not be allowed to use calculators.
  • Each prize goes to exactly one contestant. In case of ties, the following rules apply:
    • Starting from the last question the answers of the contestants are checked.
    • At the first different answer, the student who has the correct answer is ranked above the other.
    • If all the answers are same, the ranking will be determined by drawing lots.

  5. (2 points) What is the last digit of the number?
    (0 + 1 + 2 +…+ 7 + 8 + 9) + (10 + 9 + 8 +…+ 3 + 2 + 1)

  6. (2 points) Leonardo Jr. wants to go from point A to point B. How many different routes can he take if he can only move to the right or up along the drawn segments?
